What is Web Hosting?

Web hosting is one or more web servers, where a company rents space to other sites so they are available on the WWW.

A standard solution to a web hosting company consist mostly, apart from a related domain name, a number of MB of space for files (and typically have access to the space via FTP), a number of email mailboxes (eg. POP3), different possibilities that afvilke scripts (PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, CGI) and, possibly also, to use a database (eg. MySQL).

Most web hosts advertise with free traffic, but in reality, most offering this. You must therefore bear in mind if you buy hosting for a website with many visitors.

Providers that offer free services usually have no fixed limit on the road, but there are obviously limits. The servers must accommodate many customers and it is not smart if a customer has as much traffic as others have problems with speed.

Free traffic is a good thing, especially for individuals in this way avoid having to worry about extra bills if traffic exceeded. The worst that can happen is to web hosts be closed before expiration due to too much traffic.
